I participated in your tournament last year with Team Charlotte and after having returned back to Denver this past winter, I raved about our experience and that is how the Mountaineers came to be. As a result, I/we look forward to the tournament again this year. Thanks for your time and assistance Sandy & John, Mike Arthur, Denver Mountaineers

Tournament Information
Age Groups & Rules : Locations & Directions : Lodging : Lost & Found : Scouting : Photos

We play this tournament for the love of the game and hope that everyone has an opportunity to meet new people, play teams you would normally not play, and enjoy the weekend.  We have not played for championships in the past because this event is about having a good time playing lacrosse.  In recent years, we have been asked to have championship divisions, so we do in select ages: High School A, High School B, and U15 Competitive.  All other divisions are not for championships and do not have playoffs.  U9 & U11 teams play 3 games on Saturday morning, no games on Sunday.  U13, U15 and High School teams play 4 games over the weekend, typically 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday.  We also try to accomodate U13, U15 and High School teams that would like to play extra games on Friday night.  We just ask that participating teams pay for the officials, since it is not part of the tournament.  We also offer extra games for U9 & U11 teams that may be staying overnight on Sunday morning.  Again, we just ask that these teams pay for the officials.

Age groups & division rules eligibility is based on the player's AGE as of 9/1/1, not grade level. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE CHANGED OUR DIVISIONS TO CONFORM TO US LACROSSE STANDARDS.  IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON ELIGIBILITY, PLEASE ASK.

Substitutions may be made on injury time outs and technical fouls, however good judgment is needed on all subs as the clock is running

Penalty time is running time, time and a half for penalties, so 30 second penalty is 45 seconds and 1 minute penalty is 1 minute and 30 seconds.. The officials will keep all times.

As in the past, we will try to pair teams by ability. We are playing for the fun of the game, the competition, and the exposure. It is our hope that the players and the parents leave with a greater love and knowledge of the game of lacrosse and new friends.
